Turning souvenirs into a viral social campaign
Souvenir Getaway
easyJet holidays wanted a summer campaign that would create hype on socials and increase brand awareness. And there’s no better reminder of holidays than the humble tacky souvenirs we take home with us.
My role on this project was all things copy, from initial creative concepting, to script writing and everything on socials.
This was a really enjoyable and very fast-moving campaign so it required reactivity, social listening, and community management.
Social videos
To kick off this campaign, we launched real-world souvenir hunts In London and Manchester. I was in charge of storyboarding, scripting, and captioning the videos that would promote, announce, and recap the hunts.
Taking the fun from the real world back to social, our followers were then encouraged to share their most tacky, funny, and wonderful souvenirs with us – with the best receiving a £350 voucher.
Competition entries
My role also involved selecting follower submissions to repost and caption on socials.
The second phase of this campaign centred around retelling our followers’ holiday stories through truly unique AI-generated souvenirs.
